2011 was JISRF's 40th year anniversary of its creation by Professor Charles O. Bechtol, MD., and in his memory JISRF wanted to reach for the next step in our communications to the orthopaedic health care community.

JISRF is committed to bringing together all aspects of scientific endeavor for the betterment of our total joint patients. This Journal is dedicated not only to Professor Bechtol but also to the orthopaedic pioneers from all around the world.

There are no advances without the cooperation and collaborations of many.
